- Marcos Alonso is a surprise target for Real Madrid and Atletico
- The 27-year-old left-back netted Chelsea's winner in their 3-2 victory over Arsenal on Saturday
- Club boss Maurizio Sarri is not keen to offload the Spaniard whose deal expires in 2021
Chelsea star Marcos Alonso has emerged on the wish-list of Spanish giants Real Madrid and city rivals Atletico.
According a UK Sun report citing sources at Spain’s sports news channel Marca the Liga giants are considering a £27million (30m euro) bid to try and prise the left-back away from the West London outfit.
However, the Blues are reportedly are not ready to Alonso leave for the sum of cash put forward.
The 27-year-old is still under contract at the Stamford Bridge outfit until 2021, having signed a five-year deal when he completed the switch from Fiorentina for £23m in 2016.
The Spaniard has started this season in threatening form after smashing in a goal and an assist in Chelsea's 3-2 win over Arsenal last Saturday.
Alonso’s raids forward from his left-back position look to be an important tactics of Italian boss Maurizio Sarri and the Blues are not keen to sanction an exit for less than double they splashed on the Spain international.
However, that may not stop the Madrid duo testing the Blues' resolve before the European window closes at the end of August.
The Los Blancos are eager to get a left-back after sending Theo Hernandez to Real Sociedad on loan.
Interestingly, the attack-minded Alonso who was born in Madrid came through the ranks at the Galaticos before heading to Bolton and then Fiorentina.
On the other hand Atletico are considering selling Filipe Luis to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Europa League champions are reportedly holding a summit today to discuss whether to part ways with the Selecao ace.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Chelsea will now have to win the Europa League title or finish among the top four teams at the end of the ongoing EPL season for them to keep Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge next term.
Maurizio Sarri's side are ready with a five-year contract worth around £300,000 a week for their Belgian star and want him to sign the deal as soon as possible.
But according to the report by UK Sun, Eden Hazard is yet to be convinced his long-term future lies at Stamford Bridge.
