- Cristiano Ronaldo reveals he wants to win the Champions League with Juventus
- The Italian club last won the competition in 1995 and have failed at several attempts
- The Portugal international says he will try to win it within his three-year stay
Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted the reason he has joined the Turin club is to win the Champions League, whether that's 'this year, next year or the year after that.'
The 33-year-old star who won four Champions League titles with Real Madrid joined Juventus in a £100million transfer this summer.
And now the Portuguese star has told DAZN, after becoming a global brand ambassador for them, that his dream is to win the trophy again with his new side.
"I want to win the Champions League with Juventus," he told broadcaster, DAZN.
"We'll focus on that, with my teammates, but without obsessing over it. We'll go step by step and then we'll see: if it's this year, next year or the year after that.
"The objective for the club is to win the League, Coppa Italia and, of course. do our best in the Champions League."
Ronaldo has five Champions League titles to his name, with the first coming for Manchester United in the 2007-08 season.
And will join Clarence Seedorf as one of only two players to have won Europe's elite trophy with three different clubs, if he can win a sixth title with Juventus.
It will also make him the European Cup's joint-first most successful player, along with Paco Gento, who won it six times with Madrid in the 1950's, although that was under a different format.
The former Sporting Lisbon star was also asked about his son and whether he thought Cristiano Ronaldo Jr could follow in his footsteps.
"He's very competitive. He's like me as a child. He doesn't like losing," he continued.
"He'll become like me, I'm 100 per cent sure of it. I'd like to teach him some things, but ultimately he will choose what to do and he'll always have my support.
"But of course, I'd like him to become a player because I think he has a passion for it too."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported Cristiano Ronaldo showed off a family portrait painted on the wall of a restaurant newly opened in Brazil by his mother, Dolores.
The work of art which is painted in varying shades of blues, shows the Ronaldo family gathered together, with the Juventus striker second on the left.
