- Shearer says Aguero is the best foreign player in the league better than Thierry Henry
- Henry's 175 goals place him as highest non-British goal scorer in the league with Aguero second
- Aguero bagged his ninth hat-trick to put him level with Robbie Fowler and only two away from Shearer
Argentina international Sergio Aguero stole headlines following his mercurial performance against Huddersfield Town that saw him score a hat-trick.
Aguero now has nine hat-tricks in the Premier league placing him level with Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler and only two behind Alan Shearer who sits at the top in the record books.
According to Metro (UK), Alan Shearer described the formidable striker as the best foreign player to ever play in the topflight.
"Sergio Aguero is now on nine Premier League hat-tricks and only two behind me," said Shearer.
"The best foreign player to have ever played in the Premier League. A great centre-forward with no weakness," he said.
Aguero has now managed to haul in an incredible 146 goals, overtaking former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, as the second highest non-British goal scorer in the league.
Ex-Arsenal and France 1998 World Cup winner Thiery Henry's 175 goals place him at the top of the list.
Some Arsenal fans may take offence and still consider Henry the best foreign player to have played on English soil and the league overall.
