Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has reportedly landed his first managerial job after after agreeing to become new Bordeaux manager.

The 1998 World Cup winning superstar was part of the Belgian contingent that won bronze medal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

He was reported to have dumped his punditry job with Sky Sports last season in search of getting an opportunity to manage a team.

Meanwhile, reported in France reveals the former Gunners goal machine has given the French League side green light and will take over from the sacked Gus Poyet, who labelled the club's board a 'disgrace'.

The former Sunderland boss was said to have gotten angry with the club after selling Gaetan Laborde behind his back.

And the players refused to train in protest, but the decision has not been changed, and now Henry looks set to come in as the Uruguayan's replacement.

Henry kicked off his senior career at Monaco and has gone ahead to play for clubs like Barcelona, Juventus and New York Red Bulls.

During his 20-year playing career, he won 20 major titles with clubs and country - with the 1998 World Cup topping the chart, as he also won Champions League title with Barcelona in 2009.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that France '98 World Cup winner Thierry Henry was interested in managing Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.

Daily Star reports that former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that the former Barca forward was eager to take charge should Gus Poyet take a bow.

The French topflight side Bordeaux suspended current boss Poyet on Friday after he branded the club a ‘disgrace’ following the Europa League victory over Mariupol.
