Mrs Susan Dupe Bakare, women leader in Ekiti state in All Progressives Congress (APC) says she will be contesting for the House of Representatives seat in Ekiti central federal constituency 2.
The constituencies comprises Ijero, Ekiti West and Efon local government areas of the state.
Bakare said her reason for joining the House of Representatives’ race was borne out of her desire to serve the people and provide quality representation.
“My desire to fulfill the above will provide me the opportunity to serve our people, provide quality leadership, equitable representation and ensure that dividends of democracy are delivered to our people even at the grassroots as and when due.
“I will collaborate with all required government agencies to guarantee that both socio-economic and political developments and growth are witnessed by our dear constituency,” she said.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the police command in Ekiti had arrested the suspected mad man who reportedly killed Oba Gbadebo Ogunsakin, the traditional ruler of Odo-Oro in Ikole local government area of the state.
The police carried out a high-profile search for him after the suspect stabbed the monarch with a knife and fled into the bush on Monday, August 20.
