On social media, lovebirds are known to openly display their relationship. However, in some isolated cases, some people like to keep their partners away from social media, perhaps to avoid drama and unnecessary attention.
A social media user identified simply as Wastegyal on Twitter has come under fire by some of her followers for posting a picture with someone who appears to be her boyfriend while covering his face with an emoji.
She posted a photo of herself with a guy at a dinner date, but she covered her date’s face with an emoji and she tried to bring the attention of her followers to her skin, but they were more interested in knowing the identity of the mystery man she was with.
In a twist of events, the supposed boyfriend reacted to the photo. He showed his annoyance at the fact that his identity was hidden.
As expected, the relationship drama caused a lot of reactions online. Some tweeps wondered why she didn't just crop the picture, others sympathised with her supposed boyfriend over his pain, while some others made jokes out of the situation.
