- Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia have rejoined Manchester United session
- The pair both left United's US tour last month after suffering injury problems
- They are likely to face Tottenham in the Premier League on Monday
Premier League giants Manchester United have received a huge boost after the pair of Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia returned to full training.
According to a UK Mirror report both Matic and Valencia are likely to face Tottenham in the Premier League on Monday at Old Trafford after the pair left the club’s US tour early last month with various injury problems.
The Old Trafford dwellers have badly missed the midfield presence of Matic, who underwent abdominal surgery in the US a month ago, but he is now in contention to face Spurs.
In addition club’s captain and right-back Valencia is equally seeking to play against Spurs after overcoming a calf problem he suffered during the club’s US tour.
Interestingly, the return of the duo would be a huge boost to Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho, who is under pressure after the club’s 3-2 defeat away to Brighton last Sunday.
Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, who missed the defeat at Brighton with an undisclosed problem, is unlikely to return against Spurs, in a fixture the Red Devils cannot afford to lose.
Mourinho will likely welcome back Marcos Rojo and Diogo Dalot in the coming weeks.
Rojo has been out of action since the summer World Cup and there were reports he would leave the club during the transfer season.
The Argentine took to social media platform Instagram to confirm he was closing in on a return, posting: "not long now".
Dalot on the other hand has not played since joining United from Porto.
The 19-year-old picked up a knee problem last season and underwent surgery in the summer.
On Wednesday Dalot took to Twitter and uploaded an emoji which said 'back soon.'
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that former Arsenal star midfielder Jack Wilshere has sent new Gunners manager Unai Emery a fiery warning ahead of his emotional return to the Emirates.
According to reports Wilshere will be out to prove Emery was wrong to end his stay at the Gunners.
Emery is said to have informed the 26-year old that he was unlikely to feature regularly under his reign at the London club following the signings of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.
