- APC urges the general public to disregard the timetable
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it has not released the timetable for state, National Assembly, governorship and presidential primaries, as it is being reported in a section of the media.
NAN reports that Yekini Nabena, the party’s national publicity secretary, made this known in a statement on Thursday, August 23, in Abuja while reacting to the development.
NAIJ.com notes that the APC spokesman said: “The party is yet to announce its official timetable for the listed primaries."
He described the timetable circulating in the social media and published in a particular newspaper as fake, saying that it should be disregarded by the general public.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) released a timetable for its national convention and congresses.
The timetable was released by the party’s national organizing secretary, Osita Izunaso, on Wednesday, April 18.
In a related development, NAIJ.com reported that the APC said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s call on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to cancel its concluded National Convention showed that it was ignorant of electoral rules and internal party operations.
Bolaji Abudullahi, the party’s ex-national publicity secretary, made the call in a statement on Thursday, June 28, in Abuja.
