- Mata and girlfriend Evelina Kamph step out in casual for an evening date after Brighton defeat
- The 30-year-old was part of Jose Mourinho's squad that got beaten in their second EPL encounter
- He will hope to retain his starting spot in the Red Devils' squad when they battle Tottenham on Monday, August 27
Spanish midfielder Juan Mata seems to have moved on from Manchester United's 3-2 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion over the weekend.
The midfielder took his girlfriend Evelina Kamph out on an evening date at the Grand Pacific bar and restaurant in Manchester as they enjoyed a night out.
Mata treated his wife to lamb massaman curry, which costs £17.95, while beef tsukamen costs £14.95 and the sambal roasted salmon is £17.95.
The former Chelsea star starred in the Red Devils disappointing defeat to Chris Hughton's side over the weekend.
Though, he was substituted at half time for Marouane Fellaini as Jose Mourinho looked to plan B in a bid to get his side back into the contest.
Mata wrote on his blog after the match: "Without doubt, it wasn’t a good Sunday and the motivation to write something isn’t really there.
"The journey back from Brighton was tough, as you can all imagine. Both for us and for everyone that was there to support us.
"Although things have only just begun and there is a long way to go, it always hurts to lose. A lot. We made mistakes and they penalised us for them."
United have an opportunity to respond at Old Trafford on Monday when they take on Tottenham, who have won both of their games so far this season.
"We have to pick ourselves back up, improve and be positive, because there’s plenty still to come and feeling sorry for ourselves isn’t going to help anyone," he added.
He will be hoping to retian his place in the starting lineup against Tottenham, although it wouldn't be surprising if manager Jose Mourinho made several alterations to his side.
Last season Mata scored three goals and provided seven assists in his 40 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Despite being able to operate out wide or as a central midfielder, Mata isn't guaranteed a regular place in the United starting lineup, although he is certainly a useful member of Mourinho's squad.
NAIJ.com previously reported that Manchester United suffered first Premier League defeat last weekend following their 3-2 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The defeat was said to have gotten the manager furious and barely spoke his players after the loss.
However, despite the gloomy mood at the Amex, the former Chelsea handler is planning to see out his contract at Old Trafford.
