Premier League giants Manchester United will shortly make public the signing of Polish youngster Lukasz Bejger from Lech Poznan.
According to a UK Sun report the Old Trafford beat their fierce rivals Manchester City in the hunt for the versatile defence ace.
And according to the Manchester Evening News, Jose Mourinho's tutored-side are ready to officially announce the deal for the 16-year-old.
The report further claimed that Bejger has been handed his international clearance and he is expected to join the club’s academy.
Also the player has posed for club photographs ahead of his move from Poznan.
Bejger was in top form in August last year when he underwent a trial with United, with his versatility at the back impressing coaches present.
He came to the attention of United following the appointment of former Lech Poznan scout Piotr Sadowski.
Primarily a centre-back, Bejger can also play as a right-back, or can be used as a holding midfielder.
Bejger who marked his debut against Scotland last year has captained Poland since he became a regular.
Interestingly, should he eventually break into the first team at Old Trafford, he would become the first Polish citizen to represent the Old Trafford campaigners.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Manchester United suffered first Premier League defeat last weekend following their 3-2 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
