Brazil legend Kaka has tipped two players to win the 2018 Ballon d'Or - and neither are Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.
The 2007 winner with AC Milan is backing either Croatia's Luka Modric or France's Kylian Mbappe to pick up the accolade.
Modric has had a fantastic year winning the Champions League with Real Madrid and leading his country to the World Cup final.
The mercurial midfielder impressed so much in Russia he was handed the Golden Ball award.
Ronaldo and Messi have won the award over the past 10 years, winning five apiece and Kaka was the last footballer to win before the duo began their streak.
"Modric has had some impressive results, winning the Champions League and being able to play the World Cup final," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport when asked who could win the award.
"He is the man who creates the show and commands the game.
"Mbappé is very strong and has a whole career ahead of him. Let the future be yours."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Champions League campaigners Inter Milan have reportedly launched a bid to sign Real Madrid midfield ace Luka Modric this summer.
The Galacticos have already lost their goal machine Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in a mega deal after spending nine years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
