Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr on Friday, August 24, confirmed that retired Nigerian goalkeeper Carl Ikeme will be joining the technical crew.
The 65-year-old football manager made this known in Lagos that Carl Ikeme who recently announced his retirement will be helping to monitor and discover young goalkeepers in England.
Rohr wants the 32-year-old former Wolverhampton number one goalie to help his country to find young goalies that will be of future help to the Super Eagles.
Carl Ikeme spent his entire career at Wolverhampton Wanderers making 207 appearances across all competitions before hanging his gloves this year after recovering from life threatening disease.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Nigeria and Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme announced his retirement from football after surviving acute leukemia which made him to be in hospital for almost a year.
He was supposed to be the Super Eagles number one goalkeeper at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, but he could not make the trip due to the sickness.
