- Anthony Martial has emerged as a top target for La Liga side Sevilla
- The 22-year-old was previously linked to Tottenham and Chelsea in the summer
- The French forward was looking to stay and fight for his place at Man United
Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has emerged as a surprise summer target for Spanish outfit Sevilla.
According to UK Sun report citing Spain’s news channel Marca, Sevilla are keen to table a massive bid for the Frenchman, who is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford after falling out with club’s Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho.
The La Liga campaigners are equally considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain Germany star Julian Draxler ahead of Europe’s August 31 summer transfer deadline.
Interestingly, Martial was close to quitting Old Trafford over the summer but club chiefs backed down a potential move to a Premier League rival.
The pair of Tottenham and Chelsea were eager to seal a move for the former Monaco forward.
But Mourinho had other intensions with reports suggesting the Portuguese will allow Martial leave the Old Trafford come January in order to raise extra funds for landing new additions.
However, a UK Sun report exclusively disclosed that the Frenchman has made a surprising decision on his United future at the club after opting to stay and fight for his shirt.
His agent stressed his client initially wanted to quit when the transfer window was on but the star is relishing the chance to prove himself after the club’s boss stopped him from moving to any team in the English topflight.
The France international, has started just two of the Red Devils’s final ten league fixtures last season, which ultimately denied him the opportunity to play at last summer World Cup in Russia.
Martial also clashed with his manager in July after failing to rejoin United’s US tour to attend the birth of his child in Paris.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has been fined for not returning to the club’s tour of the US after the birth of his baby son.
According to a UK Daily Mail report Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho revealed the development while stressing that the Frenchman left the team base in LA last month against his wishes and flew to Paris to be with his partner Melanie Da Cruz.
