Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho responded to Paul Pogba's 'attitude' comments in the aftermath of the Red Devils defeat at Brighton .
United gave a limp display at the Amex Stadium last Sunday, falling to a 3-2 defeat and the as the Portuguese offered little in the way of an explanation.
The Frenchman spoke out after United's loss questioning the team's desire and stating his belief that Brighton were hungrier for the three points.
The World Cup winner said: "The attitude that we had was not like we wanted to beat them.
"They had more anger than us and that showed on the pitch. I put myself first. My attitude wasn't right enough.
"We'll keep trying and keep pushing and obviously it's a lesson for us."
Mourinho was questioned on Pogba's response during his Friday press conference, which lasted just four minutes and 19 seconds - after the United boss arrived 30 minutes early.
He was terse throughout, but on the subject of Pogba's attitude admittance, the Portuguese remarked: “Paul said it, he has to answer by his words.
"If you want any explanation about Paul's words you must get him and ask him.”
However, Mourinho has revealed his side are getting closer to full strength, with Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia, plus Alexis Sanchez, all in contention to feature against Spurs on Monday night.
"I don't know because today is still Friday and we are training on Saturday and Sunday, and the match is on Monday," he said.
"Decisions to be made on Sunday but yes, they are training with the team.
"Dalot is also training with the team for the first time this week, so in terms of the medical department, they are almost free," he added.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez promoted his new clothing range on his social media handle only to delete the evidence an hour later after a backlash from fans.
