- Coach Emil Sandoi trips an opposing player during a league match
- The referee's assistant spotted the incident and he was sent off
- His team, who are second on the table, were playing a 1-1 draw
Romanian second division coach Emil Sandoi took a novel approach to coaching as he tripped a rival player in an unbelievable clip.
League leaders Chindia Targoviste were taking on FC Arges and broke down the touchline with nine minutes left in the match.
But Arges manager Sandoi had other ideas as he cheekily stretched out a leg and sent the player tumbling into the sidelines.
The referee's assistant quickly alerted the ref who wasted no time in sending the pitch invader to the stands.
However Sandoi stuck around for a while trying to prove he was innocent.
He is likely to be disciplined by the league's FA, meaning his players will have to do their own defending next time.
His team Arges are just two points behind Targoviste in the Liga 2 table.
The margin could have been wider after going behind to Christian Cherchez's strike but Vasile Buhaescu levelled 10 minutes before his coach was sent into an early shower.
