The former spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has disclosed his interest in the Kwara state governorship seat.
He made the intention known in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, on Thursday, August 23, when he received friends and family at his residence for the Sallah festivities, The Cable reports.
NAIJ.com gathers that Abdullahi said he wants to make a difference in Kwara; and that is why he is seeking the governorship seat.
He lamented over the fact that the young people of the state are divided along the line of those who hate Senate President Bukola Saraki and those who like him.
He said: “As of today, it is unfortunate that the young people of Kwara are being divided along the line of those who love Saraki and those who hate him. It is wrong, and unconscionable that the youth should be exploited this way.”
He added: “If Insha Allah, I am elected, I will be the governor that unites all for the good of our state.
“If anything goes wrong, I will take responsibility and fix it; and if things go right, I will share the glory with all of you here who place your trust in me.”
Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that the All Progressives Congress national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, left the ruling party.
Abdullahi said his resolve to resign from his office followed certain developments in the ruling party.
He further said that on several occasions, his loyalty to the party had been brought into question, adding that he had suffered insubordination from some of his deputies.
