Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first goal of the season in England as Leicester City defeated Fleetwood Town 4-0 in Tuesday’s night League Cup second round encounter.
Despite Kelechi Iheanacho's superb scoring form during the pre season, the former Manchester City striker failed to score for the Foxes in their first three EPL games of the season.
But on Tuesday night, Kelechi Iheanacho registered his first goal of the season in the 46th minute when he benefited from Marc Albrighton's long pass from close range.
Christian Fuchs, Vicente Iborra and Ghezzal scored the three other goals for Leicester City as they qualified for the next round of the EFL Cup.
Despite losing their opening match of the season, Leicester City went on to win their next two games and they are currently occupying seventh position on the log with six points.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Manchester United on Friday night, August 10, started their campaign in the 2018/19 Premier League season on a winning note beating former EPL champions Leicester City 2-1 at Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba scored the first goal for United via a penalty and it was Luke Shaw that netted the second goal before Jamie Vardy grabbed the consolatory goal for Leicester City at the death.
