The president of the Senate, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who recently hinted on his ambition to run for the presidency come 2019 presidential polls, is said to be holding a meeting with the former head of states, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, in Abuja.
So far, details of the meeting is not known, neither the purpose for which it is being held.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported that Saraki was said to be considering running against President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 general elections.
NAIJ.com gathered that Saraki, in an interview at his residence in Abuja, said: "I am consulting and actively considering it. I believe I can make the change.
“The PDP has learnt its lesson from the loss in 2015, and I think unfortunately the APC did not learn from their victory.
"We have the opportunity with the right kind of presidential candidate and president to provide the leadership for the party. The party has a good opportunity to lead the country in the right direction.”
