There has been a huge outcry against men/women of God who go about asking church goers for special seeds in order to receive ‘special’ blessings from God.
However, some pastors are speaking up against this act saying it is not written anywhere in the bible that churchgoers need to donate a certain sum to be blessed.
One of such pastors is Abel Damina, senior pastor of Power City International in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, who was seen in a recent video saying any preacher that asks people to give money in order for God to multiply it is a thief.
See his post below:
"Any preacher who says gimme money God will multiply it is a thief. What you see is a thief, quote me anywhere.
God doesn't multiply money. If God multiplies money, I will lock all the doors and keep you here,' he tells his congregation. "Whatever you have in your pocket you will drop and no one will go out for one year," he said.
Controversial OAP and bible teacher Daddy Freeze who shared the video mocked Pastors Biodun Fatoyinbo and Funke Adejumo both of whom have been seen asking for special seeds.
See excerpts of his post below:
“Did the bible say places of worship must have air conditioning? Did the bible say offerings can be collected with POS? Did the bible say many things that are being practised today as many churches do?
Where was the verse that converted the farm produce, that was tithes, to cash? How many of the the pastors use a donkey? Since that was what Jesus used.
How many still read from scrolls? Or write on leather or papyrus paper? Men of God should stop causing disunity in the church.”
