- Paul Pogba has reportedly informed Man United he wants to leave for Juventus
- The Frenchman has been unsettled with Jose Mourinho since the new season
- The 25-year-old was bought for a then world record fee of £89million in 2016
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has told the club he wants to return to Juventus and link up with Cristiano Ronaldo - The Sun quoting Express.
The unsettled France international has endured a frustrating start to the new Premier League season.
And according the Express, the Frenchman has notified United of his desire to leave when the next transfer window opens in January.
The 25-year-old hopes that by giving them a few months to find his replacement, his move to his former club will be granted.
Pogba joined United two years ago from the Italian giants for a then-world-record fee of £89million.
However, he has not been able to replicate the sort of form which earned him a move back to boyhood club in the first place - and is now ready to quit Old Trafford.
His relationship with United 's Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho has been under intense scrutiny - with the interference of his agent Mino Raiola making the issue complicated.
As a result, the World Cup winner now feels he has little option but to seek a move away to play in a familiar terrain in Italy.
Pogba has also been a target for Spanish champions Barcelona, but for now it looks as though Juve are favourable to land the French star.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is now said to be ready to sell Paul Pogba to Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona when the transfer window reopens.
Since the end of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Paul Pogba has been linked with a move to the Camp Nou with reports suggesting that Lionel Messi wants to play with him.
