- Neymar gave his Premier League prediction and there was a surprise omission in the top four
- The Brazilian did not include Liverpool in his prediction
- The Reds are currently top of the EPL after four sucessive wins since the start of the season
- Unlike Neymar, many plaudits believe it could actually be Liverpool's season
Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar belives last season's Champions league finalists Liverpool will finish outside of the top four teams in the Premier League this season.
The Reds have enjoyed superb start to the 2018-19 campaign after winning all four of their EPL matches to the season.
Jurgen Klopp's men are currently topping the table with 12 points - while Chelsea and Watford rank second and third with the same points as the present group leaders.
The 2018 2019 Premier League is off with a bang, with a number of title favorites already showing some intent in the first four matches of the 38-game season.
Defending champions Manchester City are fourth with 10 points after four matches and it is already looking like the title race will go down to the wire.
PSG forward Neymar on Tuesday, September 4, decided to weigh in on the Premier League by attempting to give his prediction of the teams he feels would enjoy some form of success in the league this season.
Neymar has in the past been linked to the likes of the two Manchester clubs, although he recently came forward to reveal he would fancy a move to a London club if he ever made the switch to the intense English Premier League.
According to Daily Express, Neymar, like many other bookmakers, tips Pep Guardiola's Manchester City to clinch the title for a second season in a row.
"Who will in it? That’s difficult. it’s very difficult, but Manchester City will win it," he said.
This is not too surprising considering the talent which Pep has at his disposal.
It was the rest of Neymar's top four prediction, however, that raised some serious questions as the Brazilian did not have Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool among the teams to qualify for Europe's elite.
"Second will be United, third is Chelsea. Fourth, Tottenham," he went on.
After four game weeks, Liverpool sit joint top of the table on 12 points, ahead of Chelsea and Watford who lie second and third respectively.
Based on the fact Liverpool have only conceded one goal in four matches, it is rather hard to imagine them not being in the title race, let alone competing for a top four slot.
