- Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closing on a deal to join Egyptian side Pyramids FC
- The 36-year-old has received the nod to complete the switch to the Egyptian topflight
- Ibrahimovic is expected to decide on move to Pyramids FC in the coming days
Sweden legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic is linked with another surprising switch from the Major League Soccer side, LA Galaxy to mega-rich Egyptian Premier League campaigners, Pyramids FC in a massive deal.
According to a UK Sun report citing sources at the Record, Saudi billionaire owner of Pyramids FC, Turki al-Sheikh is keen to splash the cash to land the big Swede.
The report further added that the 36-year-old has received the green light to move on from the MLS as no monetary issues are expected to arise from the switch to Pyramids FC.
Interestingly, the final decision over the move now lies at the doorstep of Ibrahimovic, who is yet to accept the switch to the Egyptian topflight.
However, if the switch sees the light of the day, the Swede will smile to his bankers at the end of the current MLS campaign in December.
The switch is expected to attract more foreign star to the club after bringing Brazil legend Dida as their new goalkeeping manager.
At the end of last season, Pyramids FC ended their campaign on the ninth spot but will be eager to claim the top spot from champions Al Ahly after winning the league 39 times.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Brazil legend Ronaldo lit up LA Galaxy’s dressing after paying their new signing, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his teammates a courtesy visit.
The 36-year-old joined the Major League side in March after falling out of favour with coach Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford. Ibrahimovic had renewed his contract by one year with the Red Devils last summer but Alexis Sanchez’s arrival from Arsenal in January froze him out of the club totally.
However, barely two months after arriving at the StubHub Center, he has attracted the attention of the former Real Madrid star.
