Emmanuel Bwacha, the deputy Senate minority leader, has revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is working assiduously to ensure the downfall of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2019 general elections.
He also revealed that the PDP has signed an agreement among its aspirants to work with whoever emerges in order to record victory for the party.
Bwacha stated this on Thursday, 6 September, while submitting his nomination and expression of interest forms for the Taraba south senatorial seat at the PDP secretariat in Jalingo, Vanguard reports.
NAIJ.com gathers that Bwacha is eyeing the senatorial seat for the third time.
He said: "We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among all our presidential aspirants that whoever emerges will carry the rest along.”
"We are more than prepared now to take over government from the APC and we are leaving no stone unturned.”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state had picked his nomination form, saying he was waiting to see his challenger from other political parties.
It was reported that after picking the nomination form on behalf of his principal, Ishaku's special adviser on political matters, Abubakar Bawa, addressed a press conference in Jalingo where he said that no political party in the state enjoyed the level of political acceptability PDP enjoiyed.
