Osinbajo receives Nigerian girls who won tech competition in US (photos)

The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, has received a group of Nigerian girls who came out top position in a tech competition in the United States of America. This is contained in post on Aso Villa Facebook page.

It was reported that Osinbajo received the group of girls, Team Save-A-Soul, on Thursday, September 6.

The girls defeated teams from USA, Spain, Turkey, Uzbekistan and China to win the 2018 Technovation world pitch junior division. They were accompanied by the deputy governor of Anambra state, Nkem Okeke.

"Vice President Yemi Osinbajo received ‘Team Save-A-Soul’, a group of Nigerian girls who won the world's largest tech competition in the United States of America, at the State House, Abuja.

The girls from Regina Pacis Model Secondary School, Onitsha, comprising of Promise Nnalue, Jessica Osita, Nwabuaku Ossai, Adaeze Onuigbo and Vivian Okoye, defeated teams from USA, Spain, Turkey, Uzbekistan and China to win the 2018 Technovation world pitch junior division in San Francisco.

They were accompanied by Anambra state deputy governor, Nkem Okeke."

Meanwhile, Osinbajo on Thursday, September 6, began the disbursement of start-up capital for 39,000 petty traders in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Punch reports that the disbursement is part of the current administration’s drive to empower over two million petty traders across the country through a commercial loan scheme tagged “Trader moni.”
