The Gombe Central APC Support Group has obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms for Senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje to re-contest for his senatorial seat in 2019.
The group, led by Adamu Mohammed Manga, thronged to the national secretariat of the ruling party, to purchase the forms for the senator, Daily Trust reports.
NAIJ.com gathers that the group stated that Goje had brought dividends of democracy to the grassroots people in Gombe Central through distributions of health care facilities to all local governments in the Senatorial district.
Manga reportedly stated: “We decided to purchase the form for Senator Danjuma Goje because he has represented the senatorial district very well in the Senate.
“He has impacted the lives of Gombe Central people positively through series of his empowerment programmes.
“He also made provision for healthcare facilities in all local governments in the senatorial district. We believe if we re-elect him back to the Senate, he will do more for the people of Gombe Central.”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) called on Senator Danjuma Goje to return to its fold in order to wrest power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019.
A top member of the party, who spoke in confidence, reportedly said: "We want Tambuwal, Kwankwaso, Wammako, Goje and others in PDP because we see them as game changers.”
