Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed picks Senate nomination form

- Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed says his desire to contribute to purposeful representation in Kwara state partly informed his decision to pick the PDP nomination form for Kwara south senatorial district

- An aspirant of the ruling party, Jacob Ajegena-Kudu, urges Nigerians not to vote for non performing politicians in the 2019 general elections

Governor Abudulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state has picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s nomination form for Kwara south senatorial district.

The governor in a tweet on Saturday, September 8, said his decision to contest for the senate was in response to calls from his people and his desire to contribute to the work done in all three zones of the state, through purposeful representation.

"In response to calls by my people and in keeping with my strong desire to upscale the excellent work we have done in all three zones of the state, through effective, purposeful representation, I have picked up the PDP nomination form for Kwara South Senatorial," he said.

Meanwhile, Jacob Ajegena-Kudu, an aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state, has urged Nigerians not to vote for non performing politicians in the 2019 general elections.

He said instead, they should vote in leaders of proven integrity who had the interest of development of the country and the welfare of its citizens at heart.

Kudu, who is seeking election to represent Nassarawa Eggon Constituency at the state legislature, gave the advice on Saturday, September 8, in a meeting with party stakeholders in Akun, Akun development area of the state.
