5 Home based professional set for Super Eagles clash with Liberia

- Five home-based players have been added to the squad to face Liberia

- The Super Eagles will play the Lone Stars in honor of president George Weah

- Gernot Rohr's side defeated Seychelles in an AFCON qualifier by 3-0

Enyimba captain, Mfon Udoh and four other home-based stars have been included in the list of 18-man Super Eagles who will play Liberia in an international friendly in Monrovia on Tuesday.

Gernot Rohr has also listed goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, defenders Adeleye Olamilekan of FC IfeanyiUbah and Ebube Duru of Lobi Stars, as well as Sunday Adetunji of Eyimba.

The local-based Eagles invited will assemble at the Sheraton Hotel on Monday, September 10, before joining other players before leaving for Monrovia.

The match is in celebration of newly-elected Liberian President George Oppong Weah, and is scheduled for Tuesday evening at the 35,000 capacity Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that the Super Eagles defeated Seychelles in a 2019 Afcon qualifier by 3-0.

Ahmed Musa and Chidozie Awaziem scored in the first half while Odion Ighalo netted from the spot to lead Nigeria to their first victory in Group E.
