The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it will re-open the sale and submission of nomination forms for election into the Osun state House of Assembly from Monday, September 24 Wednesday, to September 26, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
The party announced this in a statement issued by Yekini Nabena, its national publicity secretary, on Monday, September 10, in Abuja.
This, he said, was to avoid distractions and to ensure full participation of the party’s supporters and members in the forthcoming Osun governorship elections scheduled for Saturday, September 22.
Nabena added that screening of the legislative aspirants from the state would commence on Tuesday, October 2, through Saturday, October 6.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Osun, Senator Ademola Adeleke, had accused the ruling party, APC and the federal government of plot to rig election in the state.
Adeleke, in a statement by his director of media and publicity, Olawale Rasheed, said both the APC and the federal government have taken several steps to plot the election rigging.
