It was reported that the senatorial leader of ADP in Osun west, Ademola Ogunbodede, on Monday, September 10, led members and thousands of his supporters to the APC.

Ogunbodede who defected with members from all wards of the local government said, he left the ADP for APC as a result of lack of ideology and selfishness of some party leaders in the state.

Speaking during a political rally in Bode-Osi, the headquarter of the local government, Ogunbodede claimed that the crop of politicians who caused disaffection in the All progressive Congress (APC) platform in the state were those in ADP and that informed his decision to leave party.

He therefore assured APC leaders of victory at the polls as he promised to work for the success of the party.

The state commissioner for Health, Rafiu Isamotu and other leaders of the APC received Ogunbodede and his supporters back to the party.

Also speaking, a member representing Ola-Oluwa local government in the state House of Assembly, Ajibola Akinloye, said the party would defeat ADC's governorship candidate, Fatai Akinbade and the candidate of ADP, Moshood Adeoti, in the forthcoming election in their strongholds.
