‘I really like Rabiot and appreciate him’ - Tuchel hopes Adrien will stay at PSG

- Rabiot has been linked with moves to a number of different clubs, including Barcelona, Liverpool and Man City

- On the one hand, the club wants to re-sign the player, on the other - there is a risk of losing €50 million

- But Tuchel has lavished praise on Rabiot and encouraged him to remain with the Ligue 1 champions

PSG star Rabiot has been linked with moves to a number of big clubs from EPL and La Liga since he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Liverpool and Barcelona wants to sign him the most. According to fresh reports, Chelsea and Man City are also interested.

But there is another reason why this transfer fight won't be easy for any of them as reports have it that PSG manager Tuchel wants to keep Rabiot who he believes he is one of his best players.

“I really like Adrien, really appreciate him. Love working with Adrien. He had a difficult situation when he missed the World Cup but his effort has been at a maximum,” Tuchel told RMC.

“He has great potential and is a player trained in the club. It is very important to have footballers of this nature.”

Adrien can sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club from January onwards. However, if an extension of his contract with League 1 champions will fail before that time, Rabiot can leave for free. In that case PSG will lose €50 millions (according to transfermarkt).
