Neymar claims referee lacks respect after being booked for diving

- Neymar has hit hard on referee Jair Marrufo after Brazil's friendly against El Salvador

- The PSG forward was booked for diving during the 5-0 win

- Neymar claims the yellow card he received from Marrufo was 'unnecessary'

Brazil captain Neymar has lashed out at referee Jair Marrufo claiming the match arbiter 'lack respect' following Brazil's 5-0 bashing of El Salvador.

The PSG star was handed a booking for diving by the centre referee after falling in the vital area, during the Wednesday's friendly tie, resulting in the post-match reaction by the Brazil superstar.

According to Daily Mail report citing sources at Brazil’s Globo Esporte, Neymar slammed the match referee after the game, over what the former Barcelona ace termed an 'unnecessary' call.

“I do not know what I have to do to live with it [this reputation], there's no way I'm going to stand for a situation like this. I think it has to end,” he told Globo Esporte.

But it's not up to me, so much that I did not say anything, I went on with my football.

“It's a lack of respect, not just with me, but with my team-mates as well.

“Playing with a yellow card is tricky. The guy comes here to officiate a Brazilian national team match, which is a very big selection, and he does that. I don't think it is correct.

“If he does not want to give the penalty, it's not a problem, but the card is unnecessary,” a furious Neymar was quoted as saying.

Interestingly, the Selecao captain netted Brazil’s first in the encounter decided in Washington, after converting an early spot-kick to usher in the massive result.

On the other hand, Everton forward Richarlison made it 2-0 and moments later, Barcelona ace Philippe Coutinho added the third to compound El Salvador's woes after just 30 minutes of football.

Richarlison continued from where he stopped in the first stanza, when he scored his second of the game and Brazils fourth after the resumption of the second stanza, with Marquinhos netting the fifth in the dying moments of the game for the South American giants.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Paris Saint Germain have reportedly concluded plans to sign Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann as a replacement for Real Madrid target Neymar.

The Brazil star has been heavily linked with a move to join the Galacticos since last season after just one year in France.
