Senator Shehu Sani of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has given his thoughts on the last tranche of Paris bailout funds that would soon be disbursed to states.

He canvassed for labour unions to be carried along in the disbursement of the funds, to ensure workers benefit from the money.

According to him, if they are not carried along in the process, the money would end up being used for election purposes.

The APC senator wrote on his Twitter page.

There are indications that the federal government may soon release the last tranche of the Paris bailout funds to state governors to clear the backlog of salaries in their states.

Some opposition political figures in some states have also voiced out against the timing of the release, saying state executives might deploy it for elections.
