Ronaldo, Messi and 3 other players who have their own personal museums

Football stars who have made their mark in the game have their personal museums where fans visit to see their relics.

The museums are not only designed for old players, new stars such as Mohamed Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and others also have their souvenirs in display.

Here are five players who people visit their museums regualarly

5. Johan Cruyff Museum

Location: Barcelona-Spain

Johan Cruyff is a celebrated Dutchman as he helped Barcelona win their first Uefa Champions League title in 1992.

Stars like Ronald Koeman (Holland Coach), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) and Luis Enrique (ex-Barcelona Coach) among others worked under him in a team called ‘The Dream Team’.

He introduced the of ‘Tiki-Taka’ style of football in Barcelona, a system that is still in use to date.

The museum is has all Cruyff's famous shirts, trophies, boots, contracts and casual wear among others.

4. Diego Maradona Museum

Location: Buenos Aires- Argentina

A man named Alberto Perez is responsible for setting up Diego Maradona's museum located in the player's former home.

The Argentine legend lifted the 1986 World Cup and also won a number of Copa America titles with the national team.

He played for Boca Junior, Barcelona and Napoli where he made a name for himself in his career.

“We raised Diego in Argentinos Junior … We can’t forget what Diego meant for the club and for the neighborhood. At the world level, they know us because of him,” said the proud collector.

3. Lionel Messi Museum

Location: Barcelona- Spain

German footwear giant Adidas opened a mini-museum to honour Lionel Messi in Barcelona.

Messi's five Ballon d’Or awards and other awards as well as trophies, famous jerseys and other memorabilia are all on display.

The mini-museum called ‘’Museo Adidas & Messi’’ includes a store with all merchandise related to the footballer is sold.

2. Pele - Brazil

Location: Santos- Brazil

Brazil football legend Pele opened his museum to the public in 2014 where trophies, jerseys, shoes, and photos among other relics.

1.Cristiano Ronaldo- Portugal

Location: Madeira-Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo's museum is located in Madeira, Portugal that has his five World Player of the Year awards including over 160 individual and team awards including trophies and medals.

The museum also have his jerseys from Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Madrid, and Portugal national team.

There is a wax statue of himself outside the museum too.
