Osun 2018: Omisore takes campaign to grassroots, vows to end APC 8 years' rule in the state

- Governorship candidate of SDP in Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has vowed to end APC administration in the state

- He said he would run all inclusive government if elected the governor of the state

- The INEC is conducting governorship election in the state on Saturday, September 22

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has said that he would end eight years of All Progressive Congress (APC) administration in the state.

NAIJ.com reports that the former governor of the state also promised an all inclusive government which he said would ultimately make life better for Osun people if elected the governor of the state in the September 22 election.

He stated this when he visited the people of Ayedaade, Irewole and Isokan local government areas of the state in continuation of his campaign for the coming governorship election.

It was gathered that at Isokan local government, Omisore was welcomed by a mammoth crowd who had gathered at Apomu, the home town of his running mate, Alhaji Azeez Lawal, where he assured the people of his government’s commitment to the development of the state.

Speaking at the palace of Alapomu, Omisore urged people to go early to their polling units and guard their votes, charging them to be watchful and ensure they cast their votes for SDP in the September 22 election.

In his comments at Ayedaade local government, a former minister of police affairs, Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan, said only Omisore had the capacity to rescue the Osun from its present deplorable state.

Omisore promised to rebuild Olufi market in Gbongan, the headquarters of Ayedaade local government which he said that had been abandoned in the town, adding that he would facilitate the citing of a commercial bank in the town if elected as the governor, while he also promised to establish a higher institution in the town.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and national leader of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Olu Falae, revealed why the people of Osun state should reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the governorship election slated to hold in the state on September 22.

It was reported that while addressing the party faithful at the freedom park, Osogbo on Thursday, September 6, Falae said the osun people should not vote for the party that is owing civil servants and pensioners.
