Liverpool have hired ex-Manchester United goalkeeping coach Jack Robinson to add more quality to the technical crew of the Premier League leaders.
According to a UK Sun report, German manager Jurgen Klopp is hoping that Robinson’s arrival will help the Reds booster their goalkeeping department.
At the last count, the highly-experienced Robinson, was at Old Trafford for seven years before working with The FA.
During his spell at Manchester United, Robinson worked with the likes of Dutch legend, Edwin van der Sar and Spain’s David De Gea despite developing youngsters at Leeds and Crystal Palace.
At the English FA, Robinson was in charge of nurturing goalkeepers in both the Under-15s to Under-17s national teams.
In addition, Robinson was part of the technical crew that saw England's U17 team claim the World Cup in 2017.
Liverpool are yet to taste any success in the history of the Premier League, but after a fantastic start to the campaign with four wins from four matches, the Reds are now showing they are in contention for league silverware.
Already, the Kop side landed Selecao goalkeeper Alisson for a massive then world record £67m this summer, to replace Loris Karius between the sticks who moved to Besiktas.
The Brazilian Alisson brought his experience to the Reds on arrival, helping Liverpool claim maximum points as well as keeping three clean sheets against the trio of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton.
However, he was at the receiving end for his error against Leicester, allowing Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho to beat him to the ball before setting up Rachid Ghezzal to net.
Robinson is expected to work with Reds' existing goalkeeper coachJohn Achterburg.
However, Achterburg will primarily work with Alisson and Simon Mignolet, while Robinson will help bring through Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Liverpool will face Tottenham who will be without the pair of French World Cup goalie Hugo Lloris and England’s midfielder Dele Alli in Saturday’s early fixture.
According to a UK Sun report, the 22-year-old Alli is currently down with a hamstring injury and will not play any role for Spurs on Saturday.
On the other hand, the North London dwellers will also miss the services of their skipper Lloris, who is yet to regain full match fitness from a thigh injury.
