- Festus Keyamo has berated the PDP over its earlier comment
- He said the main opposition party is the representation of what its says of ruling party APC
- He also added that the party is winding up as it allegedly exists only on social network platforms
Following an allegation by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against President Muhammadu Buhari that he has suppressed internal democracy in his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Festus Keyamo, has fired back at the main opposition party.
Punch reports that Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), who also doubles as the the spokesperson of Buhari’s Presidential Campaign Organisation (BPCO), was quoted saying this while responding to the statement credited to the main opposition party
NAIJ.com gathers that the PDP has earlier lashed out at President Buhari ahead of the forthcoming APC primaries.
Reacting to this allegation, Keyamo expressed disappointment in the PDP, adding that its criticism is just a figment of its parochial imagination.
He further claimed that unlike the PDP which printed just one nomination form during its 2015 presidential primary which former president Goodluck Jonathan obtained, Buhari has created an open field for those vying for the APC's presidential ticket with him.
He said: "As of today, the PDP only exists on Twitter and Whatsapp. The APC is not doomed; rather, it is the PDP that is winding up."
“The solution to a problem cannot be to go back to the people who caused the problem.”
