Though the governor did not mention any name in his statement, but there are suggestions that he could be referring to former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, Senate president, Bukola Saraki and Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state who recently defected to the PDP and are hoping to clinch the party’s presidential ticket.

Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar has played down suggestions that there is a serious rift between him and ex-president, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Atiku, who is hoping to get the nomination of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday, September 13, told journalist at the party’s secretariat in Lokoja that the disagreement between he and the former president was not as serious as thought, The Punch reports.

He stated that any grey areas between both of them would be addressed after he gets the nomination of his party.

The presidential aspirant said if given the mandate to rule Nigeria, he would open up the economy to attract foreign investment, thereby creating jobs for youths.
