Controversial media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, mostly known as Daddy Freeze took to his Instagram page to give an insight of how his life has been since he started the Free the Sheeple movement.
The radio presenter and social critic explained that the pastors he spoke against tried to frustrate his life. According to him, they tried to make him lose his job as well as stifling his income, but he is still holding down strong.
Freeze actually tried to sympathise with Pastor Yomi Kasali, a clergy man who is also quite vocal about corrupt practices in the church.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Kasali also questioned the frequent request of seeds by another pastor, Funke Felix-Adejumo.
While preaching in his church recently, Reverend Kasali said Funke was fleecing members of their money and that judgement is coming on her very soon.
Freeze is no doubt not on friendly terms with most pastors seeing as he is their greatest critic. It therefore doesn't come as a surprise that he feels that such pastors are also attacking him in every way possible.
In his post on Instagram, he explained how he got in touch with Kasali, to show concern.
"I had to call him the other day while he was in the US to show my concern, because from my experience with these people who stop at nothing if you dare speak out against the lies many of them are telling, you are in for a lot."
He further explained that he was the aim of their attacks for years after he started to speak up against them. According to him, he lost some of his clients, and he no longer got jobs as an MC.
"They fought me on every realm, I lost every business client, I used to MC a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 events monthly and I used to charge more than a million Naira per event. I haven’t MCed in 2 years.
"They went as far as trying to get me sacked from work so I can be without much of a ‘crown’ and ‘frozen’.
"All I do now is teach the Bible from home online and in my weakness his great strength prevails.
"My egbon, I pray that the river of truth that is flowing from your mouth, NEVER ceases and in the weakness of whatever persecution may come, God’s strength in you will prevail! ~FRZ."
In Nigeria, speaking up about anything can be faced with a lot of criticism, but Freeze seems unperturbed and he is still doing his thing.
