Nkeiruka Onyejiocha, the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency in Abia state has revealed she rejected the automatic ticket offered her to remain in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
She said she joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) because of the interest of her people.
“PDP offered me automatic ticket to remain in the party, but I refused and joined APC where I will be contesting the party’s primary because it is the party that will better the lots of my people.”
“I dumped PDP because my people rejected the party two years ago and moved over to APC and, I had no choice than to follow them to a party where their interest will b better protected.”
She said this at the APC secretariat in Umuahia when she declared her bid to re-contest for the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi House of Representatives seat on the platform of the APC.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that an old woman in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state was empowered with a bicycle by aide of the speaker of state House Of Assembly, Chikwendu Kanu.
The Assembly Speaker’s aide presented the bicycle as well as posed for photos with members of Kweremee, a personal political structure of the House of Assembly speaker who gathered in celebration of the empowerment.
