Emerging reports have claimed that residents of Ifon town in Orolu local government area of Osun state have lamented the forced collection of their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) by thugs.
According to an online medium, Sahara Reporters, the hoodlums came armed with guns and cutlasses, and collected PVCs of residents of the area, an incident that has caused them not to vote in the ongoing Osun governorship rerun election.
One of the residents, who preferred not to be named said: "They have all collected our PVCs; we can't vote. They have been shooting at us the APC thugs."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that a polling agent of the PDP in the ongoing governorship rerun election in Osun state was missing on duty on Thursday, September 27.
The agent did not report at the Ward 7, Unit 12 Polling Unit in Adereti village, Ife South local government area.
An official of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), Stephen Oyewande, said he could not explain why the PDP agent was not on duty at the polling unit.
