Nigerian police officers have reportedly been spotted attacking a man on third mainland bridge. The police officers were spotted destroying a man's car and even sprayed tear gas on the driver of the vehicle.
It was gathered that the policemen in a convoy had gotten angry after a man overtook their convoy on third mainland bridge.
The video had gone viral on social media and social media users had claimed that the attacked was done by officers of the Nigerian Army.
However, the Nigerian Army, shared a tweet debunking the rumours. They noted that the uniforms worn by the perpetrators is not that of the Nigerian Army.
"The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to an online Video captioned ‘Nigerian Soldier Vandalize Man’s Car Beat him for attempting to Overtake them ...’ The public is to please note that the uniform adorned by the perpetrators of that act is not that of the NA."

The post also revealed that soldiers are not involved in escort of cash by banks, which is what the the officers were reportedly escorting.
"Besides, soldiers are not involved with the movement and escort of cash by banks. In addition, troops of the NA do not move with chemical weapons like tear gas. Kindly disseminate please."
