Governor Theodore Orji of Abia state has said that he has not endorsed person to run for the 2015 governorship election in the state.
Orji urged the people to ignore any person claiming that he has been endorsed by him to run for the governor of the state, as he has not done anything of sort.
The Governor who made this clearance while addressing an expanded PDP caucus meeting weekend in Umuahia, the state capital, warned against name dropping by politicians.
According Orji, three main factors which would determine who would succeed are the God, the party stakeholder and himself, insisting that as a true democrat he would not singlehandedly select his successor.
The governor however said that it was even too early to talk about 2015, saying what his main preoccupation was to ensure that he completes his legacy projects which he said would also help in marketing the party ahead of the 2015 elections.
Orji maintained that the PDP has done well so far in the state with the concrete projects he is executing in the state.
On Local Government elections in the state, the governor explained that the state House of Assembly has put it on hold to allow modalities and preparations for credible council elections in the state to be held.
