Jigawa Against Fake Journalists

The Jigawa state council of the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) has commenced moves to stop quacks from parading themselves as journalists in the state.

This was disclosed by the Vice-Chairman of Jigawa state chapter of NUJ, Alhaji Salisu Aminu Dutse while inaugurating the ethics and disciplinary committee of the union yesterday in Dutse.

He said the ethics and disciplinary committee is set up to handle complaints on professional and ethical misconducts of journalists in the state adding that it is high time quacks are shown the way out to restore sanity to the profession.

The five member committee is headed by Muhammad Hassan Chamo while Aliyu Dangida, Mati Ali, Ibrahim Bello and Ismaila Ibrahim will serve as members.
