EFCC: Discussion With Mahmud Tukur, Others Hits "Brick Wall"

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has told a Lagos Court that its discussion with Mahmud Tukur and other suspected subsidy thieves has "hit a brickwall".

The EFCC stated this to the court on Wednesday. The parties were discussing a possible plea bargain by the suspects that would see them return a large chunk of the money.

Mahmud is the son of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bamanga Tukur. The judge has therefore fixed March 6 for the continuation of trial of the suspects.
