Copyright Agency Intercepts Load Of Pirated Books

The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has intercepted seven containers loaded with pirated books.

The Director General of the commission, Mr. Afam Ezekude, who disclosed the seizures, said the containers were recently impounded at the Apapa Wharf in Lagos. He said the items contained about 10, 000 cartons of books estimated at over N1.5 billion (equivalent of 9, 375,000 USD) and that they were shipped in from China.
