Super Eagles' striker, Gambo Mohammed, was the man who stole the show in this game with his positional play, pace and precision. He scored a goal in each half to help Kano Pillars go top of the pile on nine points in a week the club had two of their top stars, Papa Idris and Gabriel Reuben, joining Scottish club, Kilmarnock FC on long-term contracts.

Lobi Stars 1-0 ABS

Joshua Abanyi's goal on 26 minutes was enough to ensure that Lobi are in the top half of the log and three points within touching distance of table-topping Kano Pillars.

Dolphins 1-1 Sunshine Stars

Former Enugu Rangers' forward, Fred Okwara, saved Dolphins the embarrassment of a home defeat when his strike cancelled out Ajani Ibrahim's first half goal. Sunshine Stars are second in the standings on eight points while Dolphins are in 16th spot.

Gombe United 2-0 Sharks

Sharks continued their poor start to the season losing 0-2 at Gombe United. First half goals from John Kim and Bishop Onyeudo. The win lifts Gombe United to eighth place and Sharks are now bottom of the log.

Warri Wolves 0-0 Nasarawa United

Wolves were expected to win this game after taking points at Enugu Rangers in the previous matchday. Instead it was Nasarawa United that put up some stoic defending to take away with them a point. Wolves are one of the two teams this term without a win. El-Kanemi are the other.

Kaduna United 1-1 Enugu Rangers

Chinedu Sunday Udeagha shot Rangers in front in this game but Ibrahim Lawal denied the Flying Antelopes the full points. Rangers are third on the log.

Nembe City 1-1 Enyimba

After a first half with no goals, former Sunshine Stars' man, Ukeyima Akombo put Enyimba in front at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa. But Uche Ugochukwu converted late from the spot to save Nembe City from a second home loss this term.
