Unidentified gunmen yesterday stormed Gonori village in Gujba local government area of Yobe state and killed two residents identified as Modu Alhaji Bura and Ahmadu Baba Ali.
The gunmen also burnt down a block of class rooms at the local primary school, Lower Sharia court and Police out station in the area.
Daily trust gathered that the gunmen killed the deceased in their homes at about 11:45pm before destroying public structures and also made away with Honda 98 model. The States Police Public Relation Officer, Asp Toyin Gbadegesin who confirmed the attack said the police has commenced investigation.
The PPRO said “At about 11:45pm Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members attacked and killed one Modu Alhaji Bura, 30 and Ahmadu Baba Ali 39 in there residents at Gonori and made away with Honda 98 model with registration number AA 736 GJB. A block of buildings at Morori Primary School, Lower Sharia court, a collapsed Police out station burnt down by the suspected assailant.”
