Even his entourage of political associates, who typically accompany Mr Metuh to the court, were noticeably not available.

The PDP publicity secretary's case was earlier placed on stand down over lateness from prison officials.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the Court sitting in Abuja adjourned Metuh's trial. In his ruling today, January 26, Justice Okon Abang said trial will continue tomorrow, January 27.

Metuh's trial was opened with 16 witnesses lined up to testify against him.

The PDP spokesperson has remained in prison since the first day of his trial when the court ordered that he should be remanded in the custody of a prison.  At the resumption of the case on Monday, January 25, Metuh made a request for a variation of his bail condition.
