A father murdered his two young sons before hanging himself following the breakdown of his relationship with their mother, it emerged last night.
The three bodies remained undiscovered for days until Saturday, when they were found by the landlord while showing a prospective tenant the ground-floor flat in Tidworth, Wiltshire.
The boys lived with their mother in Andover, Hampshire, but regularly visited their father, Graham Anderson, 36, after the couple separated.
It remains unclear when the tragedy took place, although police said there was an ‘indication’ of activity in the flat on Thursday morning.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Saunders said: ‘For the mother it is a shocking thing to find out. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have died.’
