- Maina said Boko Haram members are not Muslims because Islam is a religion of peace
- He called on Nigerians to continue giving out meaningful information that can assist the government fight against insurgency in the country
The former chairman presidential Task Team on Pension Reform Abdulrasheed Maina has reacted to the bomb attack on Biu community of Borno state leaving about 30 dead and over 25 injured.
According to a statement signed by Maina’s spokesman Mohammad Sabo, the attack is inhuman barbaric unacceptable and an insult to Islamic ideals.
Leadership reports that he said Boko Haram members are not Muslims as Islam is a religion of peace as preached by the holy prophet, Mohammed (SAW).

He emphasized the war against insurgency has been won by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to him, the Biu good and brave people of Borno should not relent in the area of vigilante scrutiny of suspected individuals and should not be deterred by this attack.

He added that Nigerians should continue to give out meaningful information that could assist and support President Buhari and the chief of army staff Turkur Buratai on the fight against insurgency in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that suspected Boko Haram terrorists launched a deadly attack in Biu of the state resulting in the death of 13 persons while 53 others were injured.
In a statement by Victor Isuku who is the police spokesperson of the Borno state command, he said the attack took place on Saturday, December 2.
